Allergies affect the lives of 40 - 50 million Americans. Allergies are associated with many other conditions and significantly affect quality of life. It is associated with frequent sinus and inner ear infection, sleep apnea, asthma and nasal polyps.

Quality of life is affected as those who suffer often have fatigue, hearing problems, impaired social function and impaired health perception.
